With a whole lot of passion, vision and a few dollars for a plane ticket, I headed for the bright lights of New York City immediately after graduation, to accept an internship at a major beauty company. As a born-and-raised Texas girl, I’m incredibly proud and in awe to have experienced working at some of the world’s top Fortune 500 companies. Ultimately, it’s those experiences that inspired me to write Overtime Is SO Over, and to begin building a career platform that I can only hope helps spark change in the ways we work day to day.
From developing the perfect pink lipstick at Avon, to creating toys that kids go crazy for at Mattel, to building some of the coolest marketing campaigns for one of the world’s largest children’s TV shows…all while building a side hustle, I’ve learned how to run the day, so the day doesn’t run me.
Now, by no means am I some sort of “guru”. What I know for sure is that my commitment is to share with you recommendations, tools, and resources that I’ve found to be useful, so that you can experience productive days, and put the “life” back into work-life.
It takes courage to recognize that we sometimes aren’t fulfilled at work. It takes courage to identify that the work habits we created are chaotic and inefficient. It takes courage to seek resources to make meaningful change.
So, thank YOU for taking the time to check out the site. Let’s get stuff done!
